mgr CHANGING TIDES GARDEN

mgr Changing Tides Garden is a coastal garden that celebrates the resilient plants that have adapted to the harsh conditions found along the strandline (the shoreline above the water), of the UK’s vegetated shingle beaches. Here, just beyond the normal reach of the waves a few plants will seize the opportunity to form a row of vegetation, a risky life where one storm too many could eradicate them forever.

DESIGNER - LUCY MITCHELL

Lucy spent over 15 years as an architectural designer, creating installations and activations for some of the biggest brands in the world. In 2013 Lucy set up her own business Seven Sisters Create, where she started creating nature based installations.

It quickly became apparent that a career in garden and landscape design was a natural next step, and when lockdown provided the opportunity to retrain, Lucy signed up to study at Capel Manor, winning the Bali Chalk Fund Student of the Year 2023.

A man at the front line of exploration and one of the world’s most experienced divers, field science and polar experts, Paul helps scientists unlock and communicate global mysteries in the most challenging regions of the planet.

Paul is a mountain and polar guide leading Greenland Icecap crossing and mountaineering expeditions and polar science support logistics.He is an experienced television presenter and radio broadcaster.

Former Vice President of the Royal Geographical Society and Chair of the Expeditions and Fieldwork Division, Paul is currently Expedition Leader for the National Geographic Pristine Seas Expeditions.
